Damian and the Dumpster baby.

Damian was doing patrols, with a bit of a minor rescuing and feeding the strays animals until he heard a noise from a dumpster.

Tonight was going to be a storm coming, and he rather check up on the strays, feed them, fixing any of the secure hiding places he put out for them for rain occasionally, and try to smuggle 1 or 6 into the barn again without Father knowing. Alfred can keep a secret sometimes.

Jumping on the edge of the dumpster to see a plastic bag tied up on the pile of trash with something squirming inside, alive obviously. Oh if this another group of puppies, he going to find the culprit himself and break their kneecaps and arms this time.

Easily untying the plastic bag and opening to reveal.. a little baby.

Not a kitten or a puppy, a living breathing human baby, cut and tied umbilical and a pale with a unique birth mark in a shape of a lichtenberg from his tiny hand fading to his chest.

This was out of Damian's comfort line.

He had dealt with saving animals, people, children, hell even toddlers. He never dealt with a baby before much less a newborn.

He got caught after 5 month and a half by Alfred during feeding Danyal time, while scolded him about hiding the baby instead of coming to him.

He had a good reason to though, last time he told Alfred about the last newest addition, Bruce sended the Jafar the Ligor to a sanctuary. He still felt betrayed by that.(even though now Jafar is happily spending his days with the other mixed big cat breed but still)

He done a good enough job taking care of Danyal, even though he had to secretly look up baby stuff, medicine, clothes, a soft bedded cot and diapers.(the smell was much less worse then the sewer) he considered himself a great care-taker.(even though in the back of his mind, he feared that he might had unlocked that genetic adopt-bat bait traits that Dick warned him about)

Damian had gotten.. a bit attached, considering the idea of putting danyal in orphanage or a foster care wasn't ideal afterall the corrupted ones that Father and him had broken through over the years left a bad gut feeling if he had actually gone through with his plan. Danyal was one of his babies, only not covered in fur, scales, or a shell.

And he didn't do everything all on his own, Cass was the only who figured it out, kept it a secret and help out.. then steph found out... and Jason, Tim and Duke unfortunately found out after Cass and steph snuck danyal in the manor for a nice bath.

Only reason Dick didn't found out because everyone know he can't keep a secret away from Bruce's ear for long after found out Jason's new girlfriend was the new therapist in Gotham, and telling Bruce would feed his adopt-holic again and he end up having baby fever. (Tim didn't tell him what that word meant but he did look it up in a baby care guide book for new parents. And EW)

They were going to wait it out til Danyal was at least toddler age before sneaking him in the manor to gatekeep gaslight girlboss Father into thinking he already adopted him. (Steph's words, not his)

im not a huge traditional a/b/o writer so I don't have an entire fic idea for this but my brain keeps getting stuck on the idea of unpresented steve volunteering to take care of an orphaned baby during the quarantine, since there's too many kids and not enough adult omegas

alpha eddie, technically released but tentatively on temporary house arrest, ends up at the harrington house. with nothing much to do, eddie steps in as co parent and moral support for steve, helping the frazzled beta adjust to the reality of parenthood

and one day steve wakes up as an omega. no presentation heat, no desperate need to get bred, even though his new tits ache and leak. a little pain and his period eventually comes, sure, but it's not anywhere approaching typical. eddie watches the baby as steve goes to the fed doctors in a flurry, worried he's, like, dying or something--

stifling a smile, the doctor tells steve that his body accepted that he already had a pup and a mate, and decided no presentation heat was needed. otherwise he's perfectly healthy, and his heats should come back when he's done breastfeeding like any other omega mother's.

steve leaves, embarrassed and horny, having no idea how he's going to tell eddie that steve's hormones have decided he's the father of steve's kids, or why a medical explanation has him so turned on he can barely see straight

You know what, I just saw a fic where the ghosts from the zone think he’s a baby ghost right? We’ve all seen them and they’re super fun.

But what if it was the opposite? Most ghosts develop over time and absorb ectoplasm to get stronger right?

When Danny died he had a portal open on top of him fusing his dna with the realms. So much power shoved into such a small body.

When the ghosts see him they know he’s a halfa but what if they think he’s an ancient halfa?

They believe Danny is some crazy strong old ghost that needs to be defeated before he regains control of his power or gets his memory back.

Maybe they believe he implanted himself among the Fentons to help hide while he recovers.

Maybe that’s why walker is so made when he breaks the rules, he thought he was old enough to have written them

Eventually he starts to bond with the other ghosts and one day he asks one of them how they moved past dying.

I’m thinking ember.

They’re sitting on a roof one night after a pretty crazy fight and Danny just gets super quiet and ember asks him what’s wrong and he tells her the truth.

It would be 1 year since his accident and he still didn’t know how to accept what happened. How to accept that he had died and been reborn as something new.

Imaging her looking at this ancient level Eldritch creature that all of them had been trying to stop from getting stronger and realizing

Hes just a baby, they had been trying to stop a newly formed ghost from harmonizing with his core and discovering what his obsession was and they had succeeded.

If he hadn’t even been able to accept his death then his growth had been severely stunted by their intervention.

Ghosts start appearing all over the world, particularly places like Gotham. They don’t seem overtly hostile though they are rather rowdy as they seem to be celebrating something.

Jason doesn’t understand why he can feel the ghosts elation or why he can apparently land a physical hit on them during what the ghost called a ‘friendly brawl’ when so far only magic users had any affect, limited as it was. (“You really need to your ass to Far Frozen man, you’re cores fucked” the ghost had said with a chuckle afterwards)

Shazam reports that the last King had been some kind of mad tyrant but can’t offer much else; he has limited knowledge of this universes Dead Realms, let alone the Infinite Realms that house them. He has no knowledge at all of the new King.

Constantine reports the last King was named Pariah Dark and nearly destroyed the Infinite Realms which would have caused reality itself to collapse. It took all of the Infinite Realms together to seal him away… and the crowning of a new King meant that he had been bested in single combat, which would make the new King even more powerful than Pariah had been.

Observation proved that the ghosts were violent and mischievous though rarely outright malicious. They liked to pull ‘pranks’ and have destructive fights. They were all eclectic individuals, though there was clearly a culture to them. And they all spoke willingly to any who would listen about the power of King Phantom, how fiercely he protected his Haunt, how often he would accept spars, how he calmed tensions between different ghost factions.

After three weeks of chaos, the ghosts suddenly disappeared. And then one more appeared on the Watchtower.

“Hello. I am High King Phantom. My apologies if my subjects have caused harm to you; they are many and the Realms are vast so it’s taking a bit to visit all the affected Living Realms and calm down celebrations. Please understand any who have broken the laws of the Infinite Realms are being dealt with. If you would like to discuss reparations, you can contact me with this; I may not answer immediately however”

The lanky teenager with white hair, a crown of burning ice, and a skull ring placed a piece of paper with a summoning circle on it on the table and promptly disappeared.
